Illinois high school graduation requirements as of 2019: 24 credits (new standards currently in effect): L'Abris Academy requirements: 30 credits · 4 years of mathematics (1 year may be an alternative math such as Business Math or Accounting) · 4 years of language arts · 4 years of literature/writing · 4 years of history and/or social studies · 4 years of science · 1 year of etymology · 9 electives
Three types of transcripts will be issued: vocational, general, college prep. We also issue a certificate for students who have completed four years of special education. However, we encourage even our special ed students to strive for at least a vocational diploma.
Vocational: recommended for students who meet state minimum standards for graduation but are not able to meet L'Abris regular graduation requirements; these students may be accepted into a trade/vocational program (thus the name!); we do not recommend college for these students.
General: for students with no more than 5 remedial credits; the student is able to meet L'Abris regular graduation requirements; the student will likely be accepted into most college programs
College Prep: for students with no remedial credits; have all the math and science credits including trigonometry/pre-calculus; the student is able to meet L'Abris regular graduation requirements; the student will likely do very well in any college program
